Meet Our Team

Aubrey Equine Clinic

It's not a business, it's a lifestyle...

We're crazy about animals: big ones, small ones, even ones that bite. That's why we opened our doors--to serve the type of client we love most.

Dr. Sophie L. Gleeson, DVM

Dr. Sophie L. Gleeson knew she wanted to be a veterinarian at a young age - she was always in the barn, or the yard doctoring some animal.
After graduating from Tom Moore HS in Ingram TX, Dr. Gleeson attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville before transferring to Texas A&M in College Station, working towards her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. After completing her degree, she was accepted into the St Georges University School of Veterinary Medicine and then participated in her clinical rotation (mixed animal tract) at Louisiana State University. Following graduation from St Georges in 2013, Dr. Gleeson began her internship year with Dr Bruce Lyle at Aubrey Equine Clinic.  She then did an intense 6 month equine surgical and medical internship supervised by Dr. Lane Easter at Performance Equine Associates, Thackerville, Oklahoma. After her internship, Dr. Gleeson returned to Aubrey Equine Clinic.  Dr. Gleeson enjoys providing her clients with the highest possible level of performance horse medicine, as well as basic horse wellness programs of vaccinations, deworming, digital Coggins & health certificates. In her spare time, Dr Gleeson enjoys breeding and training young horses for polo, and spending time with family and friends.
